These are basically Puma¡¯s version of Converse Chuck Taylors, even down to the fit. The biggest difference is quality. Whereas Chucks feel really thin out of the box (even the rubber elements and laces), the 917 Lo is comfortably sturdy. They actually feel a little heavier than your standard Chucks, but not so much that you¡¯d notice once they¡¯re on your feet. The only construction element that seems a bit rough is the stitching, which looks a bit chunkier than it needs to. Style-wise the 917 Lo hits it out of the park.
